ICSHL CHAMPIONS

With an amazing 14-0-1 season the Conestoga Ice Hockey Club continues its reign of excellence over the ICSHL.

This year proved to be a mix of old and new with the Conestoga Ice Hockey Squad. Following the example set last year, the Pioneers stormed through their Intercounty Scholastic Hockey League season undefeated and went on to capture the playoffs for the circuit title. But the season was highlighted by non-league play with the team's only road trip ever, the Pioneers bowed to a powerful Erie team, yet took state's second place crown. Back at home the ice men were invited to play at the Spectrum where they trounced league rival Haverford High.

The team was lead by a handful of senior stars and numerous excellent underclassmen. Scott Fera, Pete Bullard, John Jacobs, J. Nugent, and Jim Shanahan, playing thir last season for the Pioneers, provided winning goals in many of the teams victories. Junior S. Tugel and Scott Brady, sophomores Tom May and Paul Hooper, and freshman Lance Fera added more than their share to the Pioneers winning efforts.
